Early morning rain and thundershowers in Delhi-NCR during the last 48 hours have made the weather pleasant. In fact, till afternoon, the day maximum has not risen beyond 30°C on Saturday.
At present also, the weather conditions have become favourable for another spell of rain and thundershowers over several parts of the national capital. According to Skymet Weather, intense clouding can be seen over the city, with rains likely to commence soon. Intensity of rains will vary from light to moderate with one or two places may record intense showers.
In wake of this, weather will continue to be pleasant over the city throughout the day.

These rains can be attributed to the Western Disturbance marked over East Jammu and Kashmir, which has induced a cyclonic circulation over Central Pakistan and adjoining Punjab. In addition to this, a trough is also extending from this system up to Northeast India across the northwestern plains including Delhi.

Further, we can see some more good spell of rains tomorrow as well, particularly during the early morning hours. Thereafter, rains will take a backseat but northeastern parts of Delhi may still see some rains.
However, after a brief break, pre-Monsoon rains will visit the Delhi NCR once again Monday evening onwards. In fact, this time intensity of the weather activities will be much more. Weathermen predict that on and off rains are likely to continue till the onset of Monsoon over Delhi
Till now, Delhi has recorded 41.2 mm of rain as compared to monthly average of 82.2 mm of rain. But with more rain in offing, we expect Delhi to surpass it’s the monthly mean.
