Rain in Delhi expected on Sunday, colder days ahead

A period of rain and cloudy sky is expected to be witnessed during the weekend. Chances of rain in Delhi will be high on Sunday but late night showers can not be ruled out on Saturday either. Many areas in the national capital could experience light rain or shower.

Day temperatures in Delhi would again witness a fall in the coming to two three days. According to our meteorologists, weather in Delhi will witness rain and cloud on weekends that will keep the temperatures below normal by 3°C.

Maximum temperature in Delhi on Wednesday was recorded at 20°C after settling at 24°C on Monday as well as on Tuesday. After witnessing two of the warmest winter days on January recently, the first two to three days of February could be colder.

The normal average day temperature in Delhi for the month of February is 23.6°C and going by the expected fall in maximum temperature (around 20°C) in the coming two days will give a colder start to the month.

However the denizens will find it a bit easy due to availability of moisture in the air which will continue to provide relief from low minimum temperatures and dry conditions. The minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 10..2°C on Thursday.

The maximum temperature on Thursday may be recorded around 19°C but on Friday, it may rise if sky becomes clear to provide sunlight in the region. Chances of a better sunlight is more as fog could abate early tomorrow. That could give a marginal rise in day temperature in Delhi that could settle around 21°C on Friday.

These changes in weather in Delhi would simultaneously in other parts of the Northwest plains as well as western Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and some areas of west Uttar Pradesh will also experience rain during these days.

A cyclonic circulation under the influence of a fresh Western Disturbance over Jammu & Kashmir, is about to form over Rajasthan possibly by Friday which will continue fetch moist winds from the Bay of Bengal or the Arabian Sea to usher in the aforesaid weather.
