Rain in Delhi expected in next 24 hours

Light rain and thundershowers are expected in some parts of the national capital Delhi in next 24 hours. According to the latest weather update by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, the Western Disturbance over Jammu & Kashmir and its associated cyclonic circulation over north Rajasthan will only be touching the peripheries of Delhi during the period.

As predicted earlier, the day temperature in Delhi on Tuesday rose to record 33.2°C. According to the latest weather update, the maximum temperature in Delhi will sustain due to rain in northern parts of northwest plains and hills. Wind condition in Delhi will predominantly be northwesterly after the clouds disappear. Despite the clear weather, day temperatures will not rise much, keeping the weather relatively less warm during the next 48 hours. During the weekend, maximum temperatures are expected to rise and record above normal due to warming up of the northwesterly winds in the region. The minimum temperature that was recorded at 17.7°C on Wednesday will remain in the same range for the next 48 hours.

Skymet Meteorology Division in India indicates towards rain in Delhi again on the 7th of April as another Western Disturbance is likely to affect the northwest plains by this time. The average maximum temperature in Delhi during the month of April is around 33°C, while the average minimum is 18°C.
