The northwestern plains of India i.e. Delhi, Punjab, North Rajasthan, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh have been witnessing isolated light rains since last few days.
In fact, light rains were observed over few places of northwestern parts of India in the last 24 hours wherein Aligarh recorded 11 mm of rain, followed by Agra 5 mm and Ludhiana 4 mm.
The western end of axis of Monsoon trough has already shifted towards north and at present is passing across Amritsar and Narnaul. We expect the central and eastern to shift towards and gradually not may move further North, leading to increased rains over northwestern plains of India particularly Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh and Delhi from tomorrow.
But the rain intensity will not be much, as West Haryana and North Rajasthan will only witness scattered light rains. Bhiwani, Sirsa, Hanumangarh and Sri Ganganagar. Rest all places will witness light to moderate rainfall activity.
These weather conditions are expected to continue till August 25.
Thereafter, intensity will reduce but weather will not become absolutely dry, scattered patchy rains will continue after that also but temperatures may increase after August 25. Till then weather will become pleasant due to the on and off rains and cloud cover.
