The time of the year, when no one can stop oneself from romanticizing the rains, is here. And Delhiites have a reason to rejoice as a brief respite from the simmering heat is in offing as we approach towards the weekend.

The weather systems including Western Disturbance that is giving light rainfall over hills of North India and the cyclonic circulation over Pakistan and adjoining Rajasthan are expected to give thundershowers and rain in Delhi-NCR from 13th June onwards. While rain will remain light on 13th, it will intensify into moderate rainfall across several parts of Delhi on 14th-15th June.

Before rain makes an entry, cloudy weather and strong winds are likely to persist in the national capital. Due to this, maximum temperatures are likely to observe a dip and minimum temperatures too may witness a marginal drop.

In last four days, Delhi has recorded maximum temperature that settled in lower 40s. Minimum temperature too remained in higher 30s leading to warmer nights.

However, according to Skymet Meteorology Division in India strong winds and clouding in the city are two factors that are going to render a soothing effect today and tomorrow, followed by rainy weather for next few days.
