
The state ofKerala and coastal parts of Karnatakahave been seeing some rains for the past couple of days. Yesterday also, moderate showers were seen over the state ofKeralawith light showers over coastal parts ofKarnataka.
In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday,Kannursaw 19 mm of rains, Thiruvananthapuram saw 18 mm of rains,Kozhikode16 mm, Palakkad 6 mm, Mangaluru 8 mm, andHonavarand Madikeri at 1 mm.
Now also, moderate rains over coastal parts ofKarnataka and Keralawill be seen in the next 24 hours. Moreover, the northern parts of Karnataka may see some heavy showers as well. These rainfall activities will be seen over the next two to three days.
These rainfall activities will be attributed to the presence of an offshore trough which is extending from the state ofGoato Kerala. Rains are expected to be moderate overChennaiin the next 24 hours, isolated rains may be seen over some adjoining parts ofTamil Nadu.
On the other hand, rest of Tamil Nadu, as well as Karnataka, will continue to witness warm weather with humidity remaining on the higher side. Sky conditions may be cloudy, but temperatures will be on the higher side.
