In a span of 24 hours, Rewa recorded rains to the tune of 64 mm, Khandwa 57 mm, Guna 33 mm, Gwalior 32 mm, Umaria 10 mm, Shivpuri 9 mm, Jabalpur 7 mm, Bhopal 7 mm and Satna 6 mm.

As per Skymet Weather, a trough is running from Northwest Rajasthan to Odisha Coast across Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Hence, we expect moderate showers with one or two heavy spells to continue over many parts of the state such as Bhopal, Gwalior, Satna, Rewa, Jabalpur and Sagar during the next 24 to 48 hours. In fact, these rains are even expected to be beneficial for sowing of the crops.

After the span of 48 hours, rains would decrease over the state, but then the weather will not go completely dry and light showers in some parts will continue.

With these showers; the day temperatures have already dropped significantly and now we expect the sky to remain partly cloudy to cloudy, resulting in comfortable days.

As of June 26, West Madhya Pradesh is rain deficient by 2%, while East Madhya Pradesh by 24%. We can expect these rains to improve the rain deficiency to a great extent.
