Throughout the entire month of May, Bengaluru has witnessed on and off rains. The city also saw some good rainfall activity, during the second and third week of the month. However, the weather did not go completely dry at all.

In fact, Bengaluru also managed to surpass its monthly mean of May. The state capital recorded almost double the rainfall as compared to its monthly mean of 107.4 mm.
In the last 24 hours, Bengaluru recorded 1.6 mm of rain followed by Agumbe 6.4 mm, Belagavi 5.2 mm, Chitradurga 17 mm, Gadag 17.4 mm, Hassan 13.8 mm, Mysuru 10.4 mm, Mandya 7.5 mm.
Currently, a cyclonic circulation lies over northern parts of Tamil Nadu and adjoining Rayalaseema. This system is likely to move northwards slowly. Hence, warm and moist winds will be seen affecting over Bengaluru and Karnataka region. Simultaneously, Southwest Monsoon is advancing over to Karnataka.
Due to all these conditions, sky conditions will remain cloudy. Light to moderate rain are expected to continue over South Interior Karnataka and Bengaluru region till June 6.
Thereafter, rainfall intensity will increase significantly over to Coastal Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka and northern parts of South Interior Karnataka due to activeness of Southwest Monsoon from June 7 onwards.
