Heavy showers had made an appearance over the state of Andhra Pradesh as Cyclonic Storm Titli had formed in the Bay of Bengal. In fact, some parts had even seen three-digit rainfall during that time with winds as strong, making it feel like a tempest affair. Not only this, two people had also been killed in the state in view of the weather system.
Now, rains have reduced over the state of Andhra Pradesh, but moderate showers still continued in the last 24 hours as well.
During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday, Machilipatnam recorded a good 27 mm of rains, Visakhapatnam recorded a good 16 mm of rains along with Tuni witnessing 8 mm of rainfall while Vijayawada seeing light showers only.
Presently, a trough is running along the Andhra Pradesh coast with moderate rain at some places.
Now, in the next 24 hours or so, parts of Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, Machilipatnam, Kakinada will see good rains. Tirupati and Kurnool may also record good rainfall activities.
In fact, due to the effect of this system, rains will also be seen over some parts of Telangana as well.
