The dry weather of Andhra Pradesh took a backseat when a few showers showed up in most parts of the state, thus eradicating the long-running dry spell. However, the weather once again became dry and temperatures also rose by a few notches. Prior t the rainy spell, the absence of rains led the maximums to settle in upper 30’s.
As per Skymet Weather, a trough is moving along the coast and is seen extending up to North coastal Andhra Pradesh. The moist south-westerlies are mixing up with the dry and warm northwesterly winds across the coastal regions of the state. As the coastal areas are hot and humid, conditions are favorable for the development of convective clouds over the region during afternoon hours.

On account of both the weather systems, rain and thundershower along with gusty winds are likely to occur over East Godavari, Srikakulam, Vishakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, West Godavari, Guntur, Krishna and Prakasam districts of Andhra Pradesh during next 6 hours.

These rains and thundershowers are expected to continue lashing the coastal regions of the state for another 24 hours. As the temperatures are also witnessing good highs, these spell of pre-Monsoon showers will contribute in making the weather conditions of Andhra Pradesh sultry. However, relief is expected once the rainfall activity is over.
