During the last 24 hours, many parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh received moderate to heavy rainfall activity. However, good rains over these states have resulted in surplus rains. In fact, Telangana has already received excess rainfall by 30% and Monsoon rains over Andhra Pradesh are also surplus by 13%.
In the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Friday, Koraput 44 mm, Hanamkonda 28 mm, Adilabad 23 mm, Bhadrachalam 14 mm.

Ap present, the low-pressure area persists over Bay of Bengal and adjoining area. Its associated cyclonic circulation is extending up to upper tropopause level. This system is likely to become more marked during the next 24 hours.
Due to these weather systems, we expect rainfall activity to enhance over many parts of North Telangana and North Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
Moderate to heavy rains are expected over the northern parts such as Adilabad, Ramagundam, Khammam, Kalingapatnam and Vishakhapatnam.
Rest all the places of Andhra Pradesh Coast and Telangana will receive moderate rain showers. While, light rains will occur over parts of Rayalaseema.
Few spell of rain and thundershowers with strong gusty wind are likely at some parts such as East Godavari, Guntur, Krishna, Kurnool, Prakasam, West Godavari, Adilabad, Hyderabad, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, Khammam, Komaram Bheem, Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Mahbubnagar, Malkajgiri, Mancherial, Medak, Nagarkurnool, Nalgonda, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalle, Rajanna Sircilla, Ranga Reddy, Sangareddy, Siddipet, Suryapet, Vikarabad, Wanaparthy, Warangal Rural and Warangal Urban districts of Telangana and Andhara Pradesh during 12 to 24 hours.
