Rain, hailstorm likely in Chhattisgarh

The state of Chhattisgarh has not received any rains for quite some time now. The last time the region recorded some rains was about ten days ago. Since then, rainfall activity has remained on the backseat over entire Chhattisgarh.

As far as the temperatures are concerned, many areas in Chhattisgarh are observing maximums above the 30 degrees Celsius as well resulting in warm weather conditions.

At present, an anti-cyclone lies over Northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha coast in the lower levels. This system is providing warm and moist winds. Along with this, the previous Western Disturbance is also moving across Tibet region while a trough is extending across West Uttar Pradesh.

Due to presence of these systems, sky will be cloudy and light rain and thundershowers with hailstorm in few places are likely during next 24 hours over some parts of Chhattisgarh.

Moreover, Short spell of rain and thundershowers with hailstorm at few places accompanied with strong winds are likely over Bilaspur, Jashpur, Korba, Koriya, Mungeli, Surajpur, Surguja during the next 4 hours.

As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, these weather activities will only last over these areas until tomorrow morning or so. Thereafter, the weather will clear up over the state of Chhattisgarh.
