The state of Maharashtra has been seeing light to moderate rains with a couple of heavy spells since the last two days. However, isolated rains were observed over Marathwada as well, as had already been mentioned by Skymet Weather.
Isolated hailstorm was also seen over parts of Vidarbha including Amravati and Nagpur. However, weather of Konkan and Goa remained almost dry.
During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Wednesday, Nagpur recorded 13 mm of rains, Amravati 9 mm, Wardha 3 mm, and Yavatmal 1 mm.
Due to northerly, northeasterly winds, we expect minimum temperatures of North Madhya Maharashtra may drop by one to two degrees Celsius in the coming two to three days.
However, we do not expect any significant weather activities tomorrow onward. Isolated pocket of East Vidarbha may continue with light rainfall but gradually weather will become dry. After this, weather in the entire state will become dry and no rains are expected for the subsequent four to five days.
Weather will remain clear with sunny skies and maximum temperatures of Vidarbha may see a rise by three to four degrees Celsius in the coming days due to clearance of sky and cessation of rainfall. However, there is likely to be a marginal increase in day temperatures of Marathwada and Madhya Maharashtra.
