The state of Andhra Pradesh has been witnessing hot and dry weather conditions for quite some time now. Both maximum and minimum temperatures have been settling above the normal levels. So much so that
A trough is passing through Coastal Andhra Pradesh and adjoining areas. Intense thunderclouds have already developed over many parts of the state.
During the next few hours, Visakhapatnam, Prakasam, Guntur and Kurnool districts of Andhra Pradesh are expected to witness some good rainfall activity.
Since last many days trough was extending over the region. However, any significant weather activity was not observed even after the persisting weather feature. Isolated light rains were being observed but good showers remained at bay.
This upcoming weather condition will be intense in nature. Thus, after a long gap of dry and hot weather conditions, good spell of Pre-Monsoon showers is expected over the region.
These weather conditions are expected to persist for at least the next 24 to 48 hours. This means that temperatures will witness a slight drop and relief in the form of showers and cool winds is in sight at least until this weekend.
As per weathermen at Skymet, the possibility of a few spell of hailstorm activities cannot be ruled out over Andhra Pradesh as well.
