As predicted by Skymet Weather, during the last 24 hours, scattered light rain and thundershower activities occurred over Delhi and its adjoining areas such as Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad and Ghaziabad. In the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Monday, Delhi’s Ayanagar recorded 9.2 mm of rain, followed by Safdarjung 0.6 mm and Palam 0.3 mm.

Moreover, gradual rise in day temperatures are being observed in the region for the last three days. On Monday Safdarjung and Palam recorded the highest maximum temperatures of the month at 28.4˚C and 29.2˚, respectively.

Now as the feeble Western Disturbance as moved away eastwards, the weather conditions over Delhi and NCR will remain dry and sunny today. Day temperatures will continue to rise, but the minimums will remain near normal.

However, on March 13, another fresh Western Disturbance is expected to affect the Western Himalayas. This system will also induce a cyclonic circulation over parts of Rajasthan. Thus, in the wake of both these weather systems, rain and thundershowers will once again commence over Delhi and its nearby areas during the later part of the day tomorrow.

From March 15, weather conditions over Delhi-NCR will start clearing up and by March 16, almost dry weather will prevail over the entire national capital region.
