Thunder developments with rain are expected in Delhi during the next few days. Temperature of Delhi along with other parts of northwest plains will see a fall and the weather will become comfortable during the period.

A Western Disturbance is expected to affect the north and northwest India from 12th to 16 June. The weather system will be more effective this time as there will be a continuous moisture feed from the Arabian Sea, riding on southwesterly winds. High humidity levels and rise in temperatures will lead to thunderstorm developments post noon.

Moderate to heavy rain during rush hours may lead to traffic jams. Strong winds could uproot trees and electricity poles thereby hampering power supply. Flight operations could also be affected.

Humidity levels during afternoon hours may be a concern but days will be largely pleasant with southwesterly, southerly and southeasterly winds keeping the temperatures in thirties. Delhi is expected to receive its first monsoons shower by 6th of July.
