Rain expected during India, South Africa ODI at Centurion

The dismal performance of India in the ODIs against South Africa leaves us with very little thought to believe that India would win the third One Day International scheduled to be played at the SuperSport Park in Centurion on Wednesday, December 11.

In fact, there are chances of short spells of rain during the game which will make life tougher for the Indian batsmen looking to adjust to the fast pace and bounce of the African pitches. Rain during the match will make batting difficult as the ball may swing due to moisture in the air and the outfield could also get slow. In this situation hitting boundaries would be a tough ask for any team.

Another important factor that both the teams need to ponder over is that if it rains, then bowlers, especially pacers will find it difficult to grip the ball and maintain a good line and length.

Meanwhile, winds will blow from the northeast direction at a speed of 10-15 km per hour during the match. Though, this may not impact the game much, it may have some bearing on the bowling.

Temperatures in centurion will remain near normal. The maximum temperature will be around 23 degrees Celsius while the minimum will hover around 13 degrees.
