Rain in Rajasthan

On and off rains have been lashing parts of Rajasthan for the past few days. Last 24 hours were no different as scattered rains were observed in the northern parts of the state. Places such as Phalodi, Hanumangarh, and Sri Ganganagar recorded light showers.

These showers can be attributed to the Western Disturbance over the Western Himalayas that had induced a cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan and adjoining states.

As per weathermen, the induced cyclonic circulation has now moved eastwards and is now prevailing over Northwest Rajasthan and adjacent regions. In fact, a trough also is originating from this system and is extending up to Southeast Uttar Pradesh.

This weather system is likely to move further in the east direction. However, during the next 24 hours, it would give light to moderate rain and thundershower along with squally winds over the northern districts of the state such as Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, and Jhunjhunu.

However, State capital of Jaipur might not see any weather activity but chances of any isolated activity cannot be ruled out.

As per meteorologists at Skymet Weather, isolated places are also likely to observe dust storm activity. Thereafter, the weather activities will clear up over the state.

In fact, the day temperatures which had dropped over many parts due to cloud cover and rains would continue to remain on a lower side for next 24 hours. But as the weather would clear up, maximums are likely to witness a gradual increase.

After this rainy episode, there will be no significant weather activity over Rajasthan. Thus, the residents will have to reel under extremely uneasy warm weather conditions.
