The two sub-divisions of Rajasthan have shown varied patterns in terms of the rainfall received over the ongoing Monsoon. Till now, East Rajasthan has received good rainfall, surplus by 1%, which can be considered ‘Normal’ whereas West Rajasthan is still deficient by 23%.

During the last few days, moderate rains occurred over many districts of East Rajasthan. Since the onset of Monsoon, on and off rains are going on in the Eastern districts of the state.

Due to recent well-marked low-pressure area scattered rains occurred over Western districts also. Now the low-pressure area has become less marked and a cyclonic circulation is persisting over East Rajasthan, therefore, we expect light to moderate rains to occur over Eastern districts of Rajasthan such as Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Bundi, Jhalawar, Baron and Karauli.

Weather of West Rajasthan will once again go dry and now we do not expect rains to revive over West Rajasthan.

Therefore, rain deficiency will persist. Weathermen at Skymet assume that this monsoon will end on a deficient note for West Rajasthan.

Rains will also become scanty over East Rajasthan after 3-4 days.  But East Rajasthan will end in normal rains.
