Rain Clears Fog in Delhi, Most Parts of India Remain Fog Free

Rain In Delhi Leads to a No Fog DayMost parts of the country witnessed yet another fog free morning. Delhi also witnessed a fog free day but with some rainfall activity. Many areas of the national capital witnessed rain starting late at night. A fresh Western Disturbance, which caused snowfall in Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh has caused rain in Delhi and a few other cities.

Amritsar also witnessed a rainy morning, the visibility remained at a good 2000 meters. Jammu with a visibility of 5000 meters also observed rain. It rained in Chandigarh as well where the visibility settled at 3000 meters.

However, Patna with the visibility settling at 600 meters witnessed shallow fog. The weather conditions in Gorakhpur significantly improved unlike yesterday. The visibility improved to 600 meters as compared to merely 200 meters yesterday. Agra and Allahabad witnessed clear weather conditions with the visibility settling at 4000 meters. Gwalior also witnessed a clear morning with the visibility at 3000 meters.

With the improving visibility conditions, air and rail traffic were not too affected. Air traffic was quite smooth with only 3 flights delayed in departure. 18 trains were delayed today, some of these delays include Amritsar Howrah Express (Amritsar – Howrah) delayed by 12 hrs, Chandigarh Express (Chandigarh – Bandra) by 17 hrs, Himgiri Express (Jammu – Howrah) by 8 hrs and Magadh Express (Islampur – New Delhi) which was delayed by 2 hrs.
