The cyclonic circulation emerging off Saurashtra coast has moved north eastwards and presently lies over Rajasthan and adjoining Madhya Pradesh. The circulation is drawing moisture from both the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal. According to thelatest weather updateby Skymet Meteorology Division in India, the weather system has already given good amounts of rain in parts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The intensity of rain will increase in these regions and cover few other places in Central India including Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha and Marathwada during the next 24 hours. The system will move further eastward covering north Jharkhand, south Bihar, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Arunachal Pradesh during the next 48 hours.
The weather system will bring rain in North India as well. By 27thof February, Haryana, east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Delhi/NCR will come under its purview. As per latest weather update, theIndian meteorology conditionwill be affected in terms of temperatures as well.
Temperatures in Delhi and North India
The cyclonic circulation will bring rain and thereby, increase the minimum temperatures in parts of the northern plains, mainly in Central India.
Delhi will remain partly cloudy and hazy conditions will prevail for the next 48 hours. Tomorrow, light scatteredrain in Delhiis likely from late evening onwards. In view of rain, day temperature which rose to 25.2°C on Tuesday, will drop and settle in the range of 20°C to 22°C. Meanwhile, night temperature could rise to 15°C. As rain subsides, maximum will once again rise and vice versa.
Weather in South India
The west coast in peninsular India will continue to be the hottest region in the country. Kozhikode in Kerala recorded 35.7°C as the maximum temperature yesterday. Tomorrow, south interior Karnataka and north Kerala could receive some light rain but the coastal belt will continue to witness maximums settling around 35°C.
