While rains have receded from most parts of the country, parts of the South Peninsula are only areas to record rain activities. One such state is Telangana, which has been recording on and off rains for the last few days.

The state capital of Hyderabad has also been witnessing passing showers. In the span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday, Bhadrachalam has recorded 39 mm of rains, followed by Hyderabad 2.2 mm. The rest of the places have also recorded some showers along with thundershowers. These weather activities were also accompanied by intense lightning strikes.

According to Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation is marked over North Interior Karnataka. The system has been inducing moist-laden winds over the region, resulting in the formation of convective clouds over Hyderabad and nearby areas of Telangana.

Thus, Hyderabad and rest parts of the state would see light to moderate rain and thundershowers for the next 3-4 days. Intense lightning strikes would also be seen during this time.

As per weathermen, during this time of the year, we mainly see weather activities on account of convective clouds. As the day temperatures rise and combine with moisture in the atmosphere, it leads to the formation of such clouds bringing in the rain.

However, such clouds form during the later part of the day, and thus most of the activities would be seen during late afternoon or evening hours. Also, during the time of the withdrawal of the Southwest Monsoon, thundery activities along with lightning strike also increase.
