For the past few days, the state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have been observing light spell of rain and thundershowers at isolated places with a few moderate spells. Meanwhile, Odisha has also been experiencing light to moderate rain and thundershowers.

All these weather activities were seen due to the presence of a confluence zone between the westerly winds and moist low-level easterly winds from the Bay of Bengal.

At present, this confluence zone is extending from Gangetic West Bengal up to Vidarbha region in Maharashtra across Odisha. Also, it is weakening slowly.

Therefore, the coastal parts of Odisha are likely to observe a light spell of rain and thundershowers in the next 48 hours. While the interior parts of Odisha will remain dry and comfortable with partly cloudy sky conditions. The maximums will also drop slightly at the same time.

Also, another cyclonic circulation is developing over the Vidarbha region in Maharashtra. An upper air trough is extending from this system up to Tamil Nadu across South interior Karnataka. In the wake of these weather systems, the moist winds from the Bay of Bengal will be affecting over to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

During the next 24 to 36 hours, a light spell of rain and thundershower is expected at isolated places in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Places like Hyderabad, Ramagundam, Khaman, Visakhapatnam, Kalingapatnam and Kurnool may observe this spell of rain and thundershowers in the next 36 hours.

Thereafter, only the northern parts of Andhra Pradesh will continue to see a light spell of rain and thundershowers. While the rest other parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will remain dry and warm.
