The present Western disturbance is over Himachal Pradesh and adjoining area. It is moving away Eastward. Therefore, we expect now rains to reduce over Western Himalayas. However, isolated to scattered rain and thundershower may continue over Uttarakhand and part of Himachal Pradesh. There will be a significant reduction in rain activities over Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh.
We expect weather of Northern Plains including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, and North Rajasthan will remain dry. Day temperatures of these states will increase gradually.
Another feeble Western disturbance is expected over Jammu and Kashmir by April 5th. It will give light rain and thundershower over western Himalayas.
A comparatively strong Western disturbance will start affecting Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining hilly region by April 8. On April 8 and 9 rain and thundershower activities will increase our Western Himalayas. Isolated to scattered rain and thundershowers are also possible over parts of Punjab, Haryana, north Rajasthan and west up during that time. Delhi may also receive one or two short spells of rain on April 8.
