At present, the hills of North India are witnessing pleasant weather conditions. Winters have marked the beginning and the first snowfall of the season has also been witnessed. The pleasant and cool weather across Shimla, Nainital, Mussoorie, Srinagar, and Leh are attracting many tourists.

An active Western Disturbance is prevailing over North Pakistan and adjoining parts of Jammu and Kashmir. In wake of this, the sky conditions will be overcast to cloudy. As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, light rain and thundershower are expected during the next 24 hours at many places with light snowfall activity at some places over the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Thereafter also rain and snowfall activity will be restricted to the higher reaches only for another 24 to 36 hours. It is anticipated that there will be no change in the temperature pattern during the next 24 hours.
However, after 24 hours slight increase in day temperature and decrease in night temperature will be seen. It is expected that the weather will continue to remain pleasant and hence it is the time of the season to visit the hill stations of North India to have a glance at the mesmerizing snowfall activities.
