The weather across the Western Himalayas remained almost dry, and during the last 24 hours also no weather activity was reported. However, now, as per Skymet Weather, another feeble Western Disturbance is approaching Jammu and Kashmir.
This weather system is likely to give light to moderate rain and snow over parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Isolated parts of upper reaches of Himachal Pradesh may also witness some rain and snowfall. However, weather across Uttarakhand is expected to remain dry. It is anticipated that the sky conditions may become partly cloudy to cloudy over the northern districts of the state.

As per weathermen, the rainfall and snowfall activity is likely to continue until December 21. As the Western Disturbance is not very active therefore, we do not expect heavy snowfall which usually causes blockage of highways and intense weather activity including avalanches, and landslides.
The minimum temperature may rise marginally due to approaching Western Disturbance while the day temperatures will fall further. The weather is expected to become cold over the higher reaches. Weather in Vaishno Devi will remain cold with cloudy sky however, rain is not anticipated across the region.
