After witnessing heavy snowy and rainy days, the northern hills of the country including the famous and most religious Hindu shrine Vaishno Devi has remained free from observing rain and snow from past couple of days. Due to the absence of any significant weather system, weather across the northern hills has remained clear.

However, now, once again, the northern hills along with Vaishno Devi is gearing up to witness another snowy or rainy spell. This would definitely disappoint thousands of pilgrims across the country who visit the shrine confronting all kinds of weather.

As per Skymet Weather, a fresh Western Disturbance is expected to approach the Western Himalayas on February 3. In the wake of this weather system, the three northern hills along with the divine shrine Vaishno Devi is expected to get lashed by rain or snow on February 4.

The weatherman predicts that Vaishno Devi is expected to observe rain and thundershower activity by late afternoon or evening of February 4. Thereafter, on February 5, moderate snowfall is also foreseen. However, the possibility of hailstorm cannot be ruled out as well.

Moreover, on occasion of snowy and rainy weather, temperatures are also expected to plunge few notches down thereby paving way for chilly weather to show up. Hence, the northern hills including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are expected to witness snow again.

This weather condition is expected to continue over the holy shrine until February 5. Thereafter, though the chances of snow will reduce but some drizzle can still show up until February 6. Henceforth, the weather is likely to become clear.

Hence, pilgrims who are planning to visit the shrine are advised to halt their plans for a couple of days more in order to avoid hassles caused by snow.
