Both Rajasthan andMadhya Pradeshwere witnessing extremely dry and warm weather. However, both these states were drenched with rainy spells last night. In fact, a few regions also witnessed hailstorm activities.
In the last 24 hours, from 08:30 am on Thursday, Alwar, andJaipurin the state ofRajasthanwitnessed rains of 8 mm and 6 mm respectively. WhileGwaliorwitnessed light spells of 0.1 mm. Districts like Chandpole Madni andDausain Rajasthan and Morena in Madhya Pradesh witnessed hailstorm activities in the last 24 hours.
Skymet Weather reiterates that convective clouds were developing in the region since morning. Moreover, during the afternoon, the height of convective clouds had reached up to around 7 to 8 km resulting in hailstorm activities at these places. This has led to on and off rain and thundershower activities over East Rajasthan and North Madhya Pradesh.
Skymet Weather further reiterates that the Cyclonic Circulation which was over Northeast Rajasthan can be seen over East Rajasthan and adjoining Madhya Pradesh. Moreover, a trough was also extending from this system up to EastUttar PradeshandBihar.
Both these weather systems also contributed to the period of rain and thundershower activities over both these states.
Weathermen also predicts that the sky is now likely to clear up and thus the clear weather will also start prevailing along with bright sunshine. With this, day maximum will once again start crawling back to normal average temperatures.
However, as these hailstorms were light in nature, news of any crop damages has not been reported yet. Generally, crops like mustard, chana, and wheat are sown in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan and these light rains are predicted to be beneficial for the crop.
