
Rain and thundershower activities are going on at many places over Madhya Pradesh and parts of Vidarbha and Marathwada for the last two days. An isolated hailstorm was also witnessed over Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra during the last 24 hours.
Khargone recorded heavy rainfall whereas light to moderate rain occurred over Hoshangabad, Malanjkhand, Mandla, Pachmarhi, Bhopal, Narsinghpur, Ujjain and Betul in Madhya Pradesh. Aurangabad, Buldhana, Jalgaon, Akola, Gondia and Udgir recorded intense rain in Maharashtra. Light isolated rain occurred over Mumbai as well. Jaisalmer, Barmer, Jodhpur, Kota, and Udaipur in the south and western parts of Rajasthan witnessed moderate to heavy rain.
A cyclonic circulation is over South Sindh, and another cyclonic circulation is over northern parts of Pakistan. A North-South trough is also extending from the eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh to Kerala across Vidarbha. Therefore, we expect moderate to heavy with one or two very heavy spells to occur over East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Marathwada and scattered over Rajasthan western parts of Madhya Pradesh and Madhya Maharashtra for at least the next 2 days. Rain activities may decrease over Rajasthan and western parts of Madhya Pradesh gradually. Moreover, hailstorm is also possible over these areas
Temperatures over all three states are normal and the chances of heat wave are ruled out for at least the next week.
