Rain alert for parts of Madhya Pradesh on January 21 and 22

In the absence of any significant weather system, Madhya Pradesh has been experiencing dry weather since last many days. Moreover, the days were felt pleasant followed by cold nights. Meanwhile, drop in temperatures marked the presence of shallow fog and mist over some places. In fact, the intensity of fog even reduced visibility at one or two places. This was all due to presence of cold northwesterly winds that were continuing over the region.

If we talk data-wise, then minimums over Gwalior have been recorded at 7.2℃, followed by Ujjain at 7.5℃, Indore at 11.2℃ and Sagar at 13℃ during last 24 hours. In fact, at one or two places these were reported below normal mark.

However, now with the approaching weather system along with its induced Cyclonic Circulation, temperature pattern will undergo a major change. As a result, cold and dry northwesterly air mass will convert into warm and humid southeasterly mass. Thus, increase of about 3℃ to 4℃ in both day and night temperatures will occur over Madhya Pradesh in the coming days.

Further, due to above system, the northern parts of Madhya Pradesh will witness cloudy sky conditions with light rain and thundershowers activities at some places. For instance, places such as Gwalior, Morena, Bhindh, Burhanpur, Sheopur, Shivpuri and Datia are likely to witness light rain and thundershower activities along with strong winds on January 21 and 22 during night hours.
