The weather of Bihar is changing very rapidly. There is a possibility of rain in most of the districts of Bihar on Saturday and Sunday. The weather is expected to improve in the state from Monday. Excessive rains along the foothills of Bihar and catchment areas of mountainous ranges of Nepal led to the flooding of rivers submerging northern districts of Bihar like Champaran, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Supaul, Madhepura, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Araria, Kishanganj, and Purnea. Due to incessant rains, people's problems have increased in the flood-affected areas of North Bihar. East and West Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, and Saran districts of Bihar are receiving rain almost daily during June and July. Apart from this, Buxar, Gaya, Patna, Jehanabad districts are also receiving enough rain.
On Friday, many districts of Bihar received heavy rainfall. During the last 24 hours, Chanpatia received 170 mm rain, Gopalganj, Rajauli, Siwan 70 mm, and Gaya 60 mm. A trough is extending from Punjab to the northwest Bay of Bengal across south Haryana, south Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and North Odisha. Due to this, it is raining in most of the districts of Bihar including Patna. This type of situation is expected to continue in the future also. People got a lot of relief from the rain in the capital in the afternoon. People were very upset due to the humidity in the morning.
