The state of Odisha has been witnessing good Monsoon showers from the past few days. The weather conditions along the Odisha coast seems pleasant for the residents of the state. In fact, few spells of light to moderate Monsoon showers with few isolated heavy spells have occurred over coastal areas of Odisha during the last 24 hours.
Since the span of last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Monday, Bhubneshwar recorded 43.5 mm of rain, Titlagarh 38 mm, Bhabanipatna 37 mm, Cuttack 33 mm, Gopalpur 26.1 mm, Chandbali 17.8 mm, Paradip 9.4, Sambalpur 4.4 mm, Puri and Angul 0.8 mm.

According to Skymet Weather, a trough is seen extending from Jharkhand up to Gangetic West Bengal. With this, light to moderate rains may continue to occur over this region for the next three to four days. Whereas, one or two places may also continue to receive heavy spells.
At present, as on July 10, Odisha is rain deficient by 8 percent. Meanwhile, the southern districts of Odisha have been witnessing light to moderate showers during the last 24 to 48 hours.
However, now the intensity of rains over southern districts of Odisha are likely to increase and may record few heavy spells of rain in the next 48 hours. Places like Chandbali, Sambalpur, Titlagarh and Bhabanipatna will receive scattered light rainfall activities.

The temperatures over coastal areas of Odisha will settle in mid-30 degrees. While the rains over Rayalaseema will continue to remain subdued. Thus, no major traces of rainfall over this region is likely.
