It is not unusual for the state of Punjab to witness rainy spell in the month of February. Such has been the case this year as well. Back when the month started, around February 5 & 6, light rainfall was recorded, and such rainfall activity is likely to make a comeback again.
At present, Western Disturbance is moving across North Pakistan and an induced cyclonic circulation has formed over South and Central Pakistan. Both the systems are likely to move in a northeast direction soon. Due to this weather build up, clouding is likely to increase gradually tomorrow onward initially over North and West parts of Punjab and gradually over entire state. Chandigarh will also witness some rainy spell, so residents are advised to carry an umbrella on March 1.
The temperatures in the morning and afternoon hours will rise significantly with the approach of the weather systems. So the residents of the state may experience a very warm afternoon. Along with rise in temperatures, thunderclouds are likely to develop towards early morning on March 1. The conditions will be ideal for the rainfall is expected in few parts.
This rainy spell will gradually spread in some more parts of north and as well as southeast parts of the states. With the rainy spell the day temperatures are very much likely to drop, paving way for a comfortable weather.
