Parts of North India including the states of Punjab, Haryana along with Delhi have not seen any intense rain activities in the past many days. Moreover, even in the coming days, no rains are expected.
The only region that may see some rainfall activities include the foothills of Punjab and Haryana since the Monsoon trough is north of its normal position, along the foothills.
Thus, cities of Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Chandigarh, Ropad, Patiala, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur etc. may see rains since they lie in the foothills. Moderate showers may be seen today and tomorrow. These rains will become light to moderate between August 27-28. After the 30th, almost for one week, rains may be on the backseat for all these areas.
