Punjab and Haryana experience both summers and winters to their extremes, while best time recommended to visit these state is between October to March when cool winds beautify lush greenery and cultivated fields of the states.
At present, dry and cool northwesterly light winds are blowing over Punjab and Haryana regions. These winds are responsible for setting a dry weather over these states.
Talking about the temperatures ,maximum over Amritsar in Punjab was recorded at 25.3℃ while minimum at 8.2℃, followed by maximum over Jalandhar at 24.7℃ while minimum at 8.2℃.
Likewise, maximum over Karnal in Haryana was recorded at 25℃ while minimum at 8℃, followed by maximum over Ambala at 23.5℃ while minimum at 10.4℃.
Moreover, one after the other weak Western Disturbances are moving across higher latitudes, thereby setting shallow fog and mist during morning hours, whereas rest time of the day is continuously experiencing smoggy conditions.
Further, in the absence of any significant weather system, no major change in the temperatures is expected. Cool and dry weather along with clear sky would continue over Punjab and Haryana.
