Pune in Madhya Maharashtra observed moderate rain and thundershower activities amidst Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election yesterday. And in a span of 21 hours from 8:30 am on Monday, the city has received 33 mm of rain.
In fact, good rains have been lashing Madhya Maharashtra including Pune for the last four days. A significant drop in the temperatures was also seen as a result of these rains, leading to cool weather conditions.
The Weathermen at Skymet have predicted more on and off rains for the city for the next two to three days, i.e until October 24. Thereafter, rains will take a backseat and dry weather would take over the region.
In the meantime, days would remain warm followed by cool and comfortable nights and the temperatures would remain in the range of 32 to 33 degree Celcius.
The Well Marked Low-Pressure Area in the East Central Arabian Sea was responsible for the weather activities until now over Maharashtra. This system, however, would now move away from the coast in northwest directions. As a result, rains would reduce over many parts of Maharashtra.
Usually, rains remain on the much lower side during the month of October in Pune. However, the ongoing spell is an exception as Pune and many other parts of Madhya Maharashtra have been observing good post Monsoon showers lately.
