Till October 23, most parts of Maharashtra were experiencing warm weather conditions. Few spells of rain had also shown up at a few places but they were not of much help. The minimum temperatures were also settling near normal but in the last 48 hours, many districts of the state such Nashik, Pune, Parbhani, Yawatmal, Nagpur, Akola and Amravati witnessed a significant drop in minimum temperatures.

The drop in minimums temperatures is about 6°C-8°C. The minimum temperature of Nashik was 13. 8°C today and was 19.4°C on October 24. Similarly, Pune's night temperatures also dropped to 15°C from 21°C and the temperature of Parbhani dropped to 14.4°C from 19.6°C degree.
Mumbai has also witnessed a marginal drop in temperatures. The drop in temperature over most parts of the state can be attributed to the flow of dry and cool northeasterly winds. As per Skymet Weather, cool nights are likely to prevail for 24-48 hours and the temperatures will settle in between 13°C and 20°C.

Thereafter, winds are expected to change direction and the temperatures will rise once again. However, the rise in temperature will not be much and the minimum temperatures will be recorded below normal.The weather will be comfortable and change in weather systems will make way for winters to set in gradually.
