Many parts of Konkan and Goa, Vidarbha and Madhya Maharashtra have recorded light to moderate rain and thundershowers over many places in the past 24 hours. However, Marathwada region of Maharashtra remained dry during the same time frame.

In a span of 24 hours from 08:30 am on Wednesday, the city of Bhira recorded 27 mm of rains, followed by Nashik 22 mm, Dahanu 21 mm, Buldhana 16 mm, Akola 10 mm, Pune 9 mm, Harnai 8 mm, Mahabaleshwar 8 mm, Chandrapur 7 mm and Jalgaon 7 mm.
Presently, a trough is extending from east central Arabian Sea up to Vidarbha across Konkan and Goa and Marathwada. As per weathermen, light to moderate rains are likely to continue over Vidarbha and Madhya Maharashtra. Rains are also expected to pick up pace over Marathwada.

Hence, the weather will remain comfortable with cloudy sky condition. To name a few places that will record rainy spells include Mumbai, Sangli, Satara, Kolhapur, Ratnagiri, Pune, Nashik, Nagpur and Mahabaleshwar may see good rains.
After October 13, rains will start reducing significantly over most of Maharashtra, particularly Vidarbha and Madhya Maharashtra will experience dry weather. However, scattered rains may continue over South Madhya Maharashtra and adjoining South Konkan and Goa.
Temperatures which are currently settling in lower 30s will start mounting and reach mid-30s; consequently days will become dry and warm.
