At present also, moderate to intense lightning strikes and thunderclouds are seen hovering near Chandrapur, Parbhani, Aurangabad, Ahmednagar, Pune, and Latur. Rains are likely to begin over region anytime soon. These showers can be attributed to the trough running from North Coast Odisha till Vidarbha region.
Coastal cities are also expected to record another spell of moderate to heavy rains on account the off-shore trough running along the West Coast from South Maharashtra to Kerala.
Though rains are likely to reduce slightly but weather is not likely to dry completely.
