After remaining dry for almost ten days, finally, some rains have begun appearing over the state of Madhya Pradesh. Districts like Indore, Barwaha and Ujjain were under the influence of cloudy skies with rains following in no time.

In fact, light rain and thundershower with strong winds are expected over Bhopal, Dewas, Dhar, East Nimar, Guna, Harda, Indore, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Rajgarh, Ratlam, Sehore, Shajapur, Ujjain, and Vidisha districts of Madhya Pradesh during the next 4-6 hours.

In general, the month of March has not been very constructive in terms of rainfall for the centremost state of the country, Madhya Pradesh. Barring 2-3 occasions, rains have remained far and few from showing up over the state.

However, as per Skymet Weather, a trough is expected to form extending from North Rajasthan to East Madhya Pradesh across Southwest Uttar Pradesh. Because of this weather system, the ongoing rain activity in isolated pockets of the state is likely to take a short break and reappear on March 20, continuing until March 21.

However, tomorrow, the rainfall activity is anticipated to escape the stations of West Madhya Pradesh while the other regions may continue to receive showers.

As these are the pre-Monsoon showers, therefore, squally winds in order of 30-40 kmph may also prevail over the region. These pre-Monsoon showers would bring slight relief in terms of bringing down the maximum temperatures marginally. However, true to their nature, these pre-Monsoon showers generally appear during the afternoon hours, hence it does not affect the temperature profile much as by that time, the temperatures have had already scaled up.
