Bengaluru rains have been making their presence felt for quite some time now. In fact, the city did receive some very heavy spells of rainfall during the last few days.
Bengaluru rains did spoil the Eliminator fun of the IPL between the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Kolkata Knight Riders. However, they did take a breather and let the second qualifier go smooth on Friday.
However, on Saturday, the garden city of India received a whopping 41 mm of rainfall. In fact, the rains were so heavy that several trees were uprooted and the city did witness quite a lot of traffic chaos as well. Hailstorm was also recorded in a few parts of the city.
These weather conditions have been attributed to the presence of a trough which has been passing in close proximity of Bengaluru for the past few days. Not only this, moisture incursion has been taking place from both the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal leading to cloud development over the city.

As per weathermen, light rain and thunderstorm activity is expected today. In fact, the possibility of light rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm and thundershowers cannot be ruled out during the next two days as well.
Thereafter, the intensity of these Pre-Monsoon showers is likely to witness an increase. Thus, good rainfall will once again make a comeback over the capital city of Karnataka after two days.
