Pre Monsoon rains to return in Madhya Pradesh, relief from heat wave likely

Pre-Monsoon activities have been on a lesser side this time for the state of Madhya Pradesh. Till now, Madhya Pradesh has witnessed almost dry weather. In the past 24 hours, scattered light rains were recorded in Southeast Madhya Pradesh like Betul, Sagar, and Pachmarhi. Till date, West Madhya Pradesh is  rain deficit by 89% while East Madhya Pradesh by a whooping of 92%.

Many parts of the state are reeling under heat wave conditions. At present, a Cyclonic Circulation is over Northwest Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Rajasthan. A trough from this system is extending up to Bangladesh across North Madhya Pradesh. Also, a deep depression which is in the Arabian Sea would bring in moisture incursion over the state in the form of humid southwesterlies. Looks like, the pre-Monsoon activities would now make a comeback.

Weather Alert For Madhya Pradesh

Rain and thundershower at few places with strong gusty wind will occur over Agar Malwa, Barwani, Betul, Bhopal, Dewas, Dhar, Guna, Harda, Hoshangabad, Indore, Khandwa (East Nimar), Khargone (West Nimar), Mandsaur, Raisen, Rajgarh, Ratlam, Sehore, Shajapur, Ujjain and Vidisha during next two hours.

The experts have to say that scattered light rain accompanied by dust storm activities would commence over parts of West Madhya Pradesh and may continue in patches between June 11 to June 13. Places like Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Ratlam, Khargone, and Sheopur will get to see rains. Short term relief from heat wave condition is a possibility and temperatures will be in the range of 41°C-45°C. Along with this, scattered light rains with one or two moderate spells is a possibility in places like Betul, Jabalpur, Hoshangabad, Narsimhapur, and Seoni between June 11-13.
