Pune witnessed some rainfall activity on May 13. That too, a mere 2 mm. Now, as per weathermen, the Maharashtra city is all set to see another spell of rain and thundershowers soon.
These showers can be attributed to the winds that are strengthening along the West Coast. Moreover, due to approach of Southwest Monsoon, moisture feed is also available over the area that is coming from Arabian Sea via Indian Ocean.
Further, westerly winds that are moist in nature are prevailing over the area, thus there are clear possibility of development of thunderclouds over some pockets. However, no rain activity is expected today. Pre-Monsoon activity is likely by May 29, but the intensification of this weather activity will be by May 30 or 31.
