In the past few days, many parts of North and East Madhya Pradesh were reeling under heatwave conditions. Maximum day temperatures went above normal. But yesterday evening rain occurred at many places over the state.
Places like Indore received 66 mm of rainfall. Also, good rains were observed over Betul, Pachmarhi, Tikamgarh, Buna, Seoni and Shajapur. Due to these widespread rain activities, temperatures of many parts of Madhya Pradesh have dropped significantly.

Currently, eastern districts of Madhya Pradesh are receiving scattered to light rain and cloudy sky is prevailing over the region. Rain and thundershower activities will continue over many districts of East Madhya Pradesh during the next 24 hours.

There is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places over Southeast Madhya Pradesh adjacent to Vidarbha on June 8. As per Skymet weather, good pre-Monsoon rains are likely over entire Madhya Pradesh.
Heatwave is likely to abate from all parts of Madhya Pradesh and is not likely to make a comeback. Temperatures will also fall significantly and will give a sigh of relief from the scorching heat which had hit the entire Madhya Pradesh.
