Pre Monsoon Rains to continue over Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu

Pre-monsoon activity has begun over many parts of south India. In fact the state of Kerala has recorded good rainfall activities along with parts of Karnataka as well as Tamil Nadu during the last 24 hours.

Moreover, heavy rainfall has been recorded over Kodaikanal to the tune of 77 mm. Coonoor recorded 40 mm of rainfall while Chikmanglur saw 25 mm and Hassan saw 32 mm of rains.

Now also, Pre Monsoon activity will continue for the state of Kerala for the next four to five days. On the other hand, Coastal Karnataka to witness three days of rains and Tamil Nadu for two days.

These rainfall activities are attributed to cyclonic circulations on either side of the coastline that is over the Arabian Sea as well as south-west Bay of Bengal. The Circulation over Arabian Sea will move gradually shift further away from the coast.
