As predicted by Skymet Weather, pre-Monsoon rains have started making appearance over Hyderabad. In span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Friday, the city has recorded light pre-Monsoon activities to the tune of 2 mm.
Now also, weather conditions remain conducive for rain and thundershowers to continue over the state capital.
According to weathermen, a trough is running from Madhya Maharashtra up to Comorin region across Karnataka and Rayalaseema. This trough has been infusing moisture over the region.
These increased levels of humidity when combined with high day temperatures lead to development of convective clouds, resulting in rain, thundershowers or thunder storm all along the trough line and nearby areas including Hyderabad.
According to weathermen, these pre-Monsoon showers are likely to continue for at least another 48 hours.
However, as reiterated, these pre-Monsoon showers will occur during the latter afternoon or evening hours only. Though weather activity will bring significant relief but it will be momentary relief only.
Temperatures will start rising once again tomorrow morning, however a drop of degree or two is expected. In fact, evening and night will be comfortable.
Hyderabad has remained dry for quite long now. Due to this, both day and night temperatures have been settling above the normal average. On Friday, day maximum settled at 41.3°C that was two degree above normal. Similarly, Minimum temperature settled at 25.8°C, one degree above average.
