Hyderabad is all set to witness the first spell of pre-Monsoon activities of this season. According to Skymet Weather, conditions are conducive for the state capital to witness rain and thundershowers during the next two days.

However, intensity will be confined to light to very light only. Few areas may record thunderstorm as well. At present, also, the state capital is witnessing partly cloudy to cloudy sky conditions and some activity is also expected on late Tuesday night.

All thanks to the trough which has been extending from Vidarbha region of Maharashtra up to Tamil Nadu across Rayalaseema and South Interior Karnataka. This will soon impact the weather over Hyderabad, resulting in weather activity.

The average rainfall for Hyderabad stands at 17.8 mm and so far, the city has remained practically dry.

These rains will also mark an end to the prolonged dry spell over Hyderabad. This has resulted in the increase in day maximums which are settling in mid 30s.

These rains and thundershowers will not have much impact over the temperature profile. According to weathermen, pre-Monsoon showers generally occur during the late afternoon or evening hours and by then day maximums have peaked.
Moreover, the trough has infused lots of moisture over the city, which has further added to the discomfort levels.
