Pre-Monsoon rains in Assam recorded by Skymet on 24th April

Heavy Pre- monsoon rains in Assam are always welcoming even though they disrupt life and ruin the fun. Incessant rain since last week along with moderate rain and hailstorm on Sunday delivered one of the wettest April so far in Assam and adjoining areas. Till yesterday during this month, the state received 344 mm rainfall, which is 225.8 mm above normal, throwing life into a tailspin in Jorhat, Sivasagar, Lakhimpur and Cachar districts. It has been raining heavily in Assam and other northeastern states since April 17.
