After remaining dry for the last few days, Bihar is all set to witness fresh spell of pre-Monsoon rains and thundershowers. Few places might even see some lightning as well.
According to Skymet Weather, a trough is extending from North Rajasthan up to West Bengal across Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The trough has been infusing the moisture over the region, due to which weather has become cloudy over the state.
The maximum temperatures across the state has already peaked. Now, when the temperatures peak over the region and levels of humidity are also running high, they lead to development of convective clouds. This is exactly what is happening in Bihar at present.
Convective clouds have now formed over Bihar and rain and thundershowers are likely to begin any time now. These showers will be short and sharp and highly localized.
True to their nature, these pre-Monsoon rains generally occur during the late afternoon or evening hours. Thus, these showers do not have any impact over the temperature profile. The relief from these showers are momentary only and temperatures, will start rising once again soon after.
According to weathermen, the trough is likely to get insignificant by Saturday and thus, weather will become clear tomorrow onwards.
