As predicted by Skymet Weather, on May 15, the intensity of rain and thundershower activities has increased over most parts of Haryana and Punjab.

In fact, currently many parts of Haryana such as Fatehabad, Sirsa, Bhiwani, Jind, Rohtak, Sonipat and Panipat are witnessing intense showers of pre-Monsoon rain and thundershowers. Hailstorm was also occurred in few pockets of South Haryana such as places like Rohtak.

Moreover, since the last many days, on and off pre-Monsoon weather activities are going on over Punjab and Haryana due to which the temperatures in most places of both these states are settling below normal. In Haryana temperatures are below 40˚C.

Now today we expect further increase in rain and thundershower activities over parts of Punjab and Haryana. In fact, few places may even witness spell of hailstorm activity.

This prolonged spell of pre-Monsoon weather activities has been attributed to the successive Western Disturbances affecting the northern hills and their induced cyclonic circulations present over parts of the northwestern plains.

As these rains will continue for another three to four days, temperatures over both these states will also remain below normal making the weather conditions in Punjab and Haryana comfortable.
